5 Important Things I Learned From my Friends in their 30s
🚫 “No” is the only way you’ll stay sane - you can’t attend everything or be everywhere all the time and your true friends will understand. Not only is it physically, mentally, and financially taxing, but you also have shifting priorities. However, always try to make it out for the big milestone events that matter the most or when they most need you by their side
🫶 Take care of people who’ve taken care of you - who are the people who’ve always had your back? or checked up on you? When you get older and things start to get harder (ie having kids, people passing away, divorces, hard life things), you’ll want people in your corner, rooting for you and helping you along the way not only for the good times, but the bad times too.
💵 Stabilize your finances now so you don’t suffer later on - no one wants to work until they’re 65 because they were keeping up with the Joneses. Life will come at you fast, so while you can, start thinking about how to stabilize your financials faster in your 20-30s so you can relax more as you get older and have more time with loved ones
🦋 You can always change who you want to be - life doesn’t end after any milestone. People can change careers, live in different cities, or start new ventures. You’re not stuck to be one dynamic of yourself. If you want to pick up something new, drop something old, you’re not bound to anything! Life can be redesigned at any age.
🥝 Take care of your damn health - do the pap smear, do the healthy eating, stay away from processed foods, stretch as much as you can, and get the exercise in. Try this great stretching video when you have a chance!
IMPORTANT: AWW Business Collective for Solopreneurs 🦋
The AWW Business Collective has opened its membership to $15 USD / month as a way to provide more accessibility and resources to Asian female entrepreneurs. I’ve thought long and hard about this, and as a solopreneur, I have always found it valuable and comforting to build businesses along other women who just get it. This’ll be a great way to find a group to belong to.
Try a 4-day trial and see what’s going on in our business collective! Join in-person events, monthly online discussions, and remote working sessions with other business minded ladies.
