Asking ChatGPT to Motivate Me for Next Year
Here's something that will kick your ass and get up.
My sister sent me this Instagram post and it surprised me that an AI could so intelligently write a blurb that many could relate to. As someone who has gained weight from being in a happy long term relationship and settled into a comfortable routine while missing my target goals, I realize I needed more discipline to become the person I hoped to become.
I’ve started working on a couple things, like:
📱When I wake up, I don’t touch my phone until I make my bed, brush my teeth, use the bathroom, and make breakfast. I don’t want to start doomscrolling in the morning.
⏰ I have been sleeping around 10:30-11 PM every night to get proper rest.
💬 I don’t feel compelled to respond to everything asap until I’m ready or have the attention to respond with a thoughtful and helpful answer.
🚶♀️ I have an ongoing thread with a friend where we update each other on exercises we’ve been doing. It holds us both accountable; I also walk A LOT more these days, and average 6-7K steps per week and going for long walks after big meals.
I used to think taking BIG action would result in faster change, but it is truly the small, incremental changes you make to your routine that snowball into BIG change.
I have my own goals to hit, like getting back to my targeted weight, savings goals, and building successful conferences for next year. Thought it’d be nice to share this with you too.
I would also say, take the rest if you need it and optimize for the time where you’re most energetic or feeling great.
If you’re looking to be productive, find the time frames you’re most awake and focused. Play to your strengths, not to the times you want to nap.
I hope we all become the person we could be.
