ULTIMATE DIGITAL NOMAD REPORT

Flatio, the digital nomad housing platform, conducted an extensive online survey in 2023 to gather insights into the world of digital nomadism. The report is based on responses from over 1,200 self-identified digital nomads of various ages, genders and nationalities all over the world. Participants shared insights on various topics, including annual earnings, taxes, employment status, digital nomad visas, accommodation preferences, and social causes.

Remote work has become a common practice, with many businesses embracing it for improved productivity and staff well-being. This has led to a blurring of lines between work and travel, with innovative companies offering workation allowances and encouraging employees to explore different destinations.

🔑 Key Discoveries:

• The largest demographic of digital nomads consists of Americans (37.4%)

• 44% of digital nomads identify as female, and 75% of digital nomads are under 40 years old

• 24% of digital nomads expect to settle after 5 years

• 46.9% of digital nomads utilize digital nomad visas and 61.5% find them beneficial
