A FERTILITY VACATION?

According to Milvia, the average cost of egg and embryo storage is about 50% cheaper abroad than in the US. With the increasing number of women seeking fertility treatments abroad, why not make a holiday out of it?

Milvia is a startup started from UC Berkeley that facilitates fertility tourism by booking flights, accommodation, tour guides, and doctor appointments for patients seeking egg freezing and IVF treatments abroad.

This has prompted Rika Tajima, a 34-year old woman from Japan, to freeze her eggs in London using Milvia. She balanced work and tourism during her stay in London, enjoying the city’s attractions while undergoing the egg-freezing process.

The average cost of egg freezing in the UK can stretch up to $10,000 USD, but is still significantly cheaper compared to the $40,000 price tag in the US. Rika’s all-inclusive experience covering procedures, medicine, accommodation, flights, and Milvia services totaled up to $11,000.

The emerging trend of combining egg freezing with tourism provides a whole new perspective, reframing the fertility process into something fun and positive just like a vacation!

CZECH REPUBLIC LAUNCHES A DIGITAL NOMAD VISA

Citizens of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK and the US who work remotely or as a freelancer can benefit from this newest digital nomad visa from Czech Republic. But before we get too excited about spending up to a year surrounded by stunning castles, countless spires, and good beer, let’s go through some rather specific visa requirements.

👩🏻‍💻 You have to be:

• A highly qualified IT professional with a degree in a STEM subject or 3 years of work experience in IT

• Currently earning a minimum of 1.5x the Czech gross average salary, which is at least CZK 60,530 (£2,150, €2,507, $2,700) per month
