A TikTok street interview on naming countries in Africa went viral recently. Wrong answers like Wakanda and Madagascar Two (from the movie) had us rolling on the ground.

“Africa is its own thing,” one persisted, indicating Africa is one country.

While it was funny for a quick moment, it also shows a glaringly obvious point that not many people know about Africa as a continent and its 54 countries. Perhaps this was a lesson in disguise that we don’t know as much about the world as we think we do. If you’re traveling to less traveled places, we want to hear from you! SPEND 180 DAYS IN URUGUAY

🇺🇾 South America’s Uruguay has released a digital nomad visa. It’s quite easy to apply for, in terms of the application process and no salary minimum requirement. It can be done in a couple of minutes online.

How to Apply

🛂 You may enter Uruguay as a regular tourist. After you enter the country, you can fill in the application form for the digital nomad visa. This is because you won’t be able to pay the fee for the visa with a foreign bank account—the fee is to be paid within one day. Apply on the government website here.

💰 The Digital Nomad Visa in Uruguay only costs around $10 USD, but you won’t be able to pay with a foreign bank account. It’s recommended that you start the process of application once you are in the country.
