National Geographic presents the Cool List: the 30 most exciting destinations to visit in 2024

The hottest new places to visit in 2024

Hey AWWs,

In the spirit of Thanksgiving in the states (which is funnily also on my birthday), I want to share how thankful I am to the entire AWW community for being part of it, and how grateful I am to the Travel Summit team working hard to make next year’s event a success. Everyone is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuine—this is the culture + energy Ivy and I always wanted to be around in our circles.

Cheers,
Emily
P.S. we were given a shoutout in a CNA article thanks to Jane Tor!

Here’s a couple beautiful places that have been mentioned in the article (as italicized below):

📍Tartu, Estonia - Tartu and the wider southern Estonia region are marking the occasion with a year of events, from classical concerts and film screenings to edgy outdoor art installations.

📍Atacama Desert, Chile - On rare occasions (around once every three to 10 years) for a few weeks in spring, carpets of wildflowers erupt from the parched floor of the Atacama, transforming one of the world’s most arid environments into a riot of color.

📍Tainan, Taiwan - Centuries of international influence followed, from Chinese and Spanish to Japanese. The history is evident in the wealth of architecture, from the Old Japanese Martial Arts Academy to the Qing-era facades of Shennong Street, festooned with red lanterns.

Featured AWW Story 👯

Amy Hang shared, “Thanks to the AWW community, I have met some amazing and inspirational women! Ying Hui and I connected when we saw each other's IG and learned that we are both web designers.

She is from Singapore and I am from America. Luckily, our schedules lined up and we had a nice lunch and chat in NY! Our life partners also joked about starting an Asian Wander Men or something along the lines of that!”
